Oregon Chapter Nominations
Hello again IDSA Oregon Chapter members,
You recently received a letter from me describing the benefits
of IDSA chapter leadership and asking for you to become more involved
by running for a chapter officer position. The time has come to
toss your name in the IDSA chapter officer leadership ring!
This message serves as a formal request for nominations for
the 2009/2011 IDSA chapter officer elections.
Chapter Chair:
• Acts as the chief spokesperson for the chapter.
• Presides over chapter meetings and events.
• Serves as a chapter representative of the IDSA National
Chapter Council.
• Serves as a chapter representative of the IDSA Regional
District Council.
• Assists the IDSA Regional District VP in planning and organizing
the annual Regional District Conference.
Vice Chair:
• Assists the Chair in all chapter functions.
• Assumes the responsibilities of the Chair in his/her absence
• Responsible for putting out weekly e-Newsletter and other
pertinent announcements
• Responsible for updating e-mail list
• Partial responsibility for coming up with and implementing
special design events
Secretary/Treasurer:
• Keeps minutes of chapter meetings.
• Maintains the chapter’s general records.
• Ensures the integrity of the fiscal affairs of the chapter.
Volunteer Staff: (open to non members)
Create a position, Special interest, Membership, Business Connection...
In order to run for chapter office, you must be an IDSA member
paid in full, a Professional, Fellow, Life Member or International
member living in the US, Canada or Mexico. Officers serve a 2-year
term, though we will be conducting early elections. Term will
start May 15, 2009 and end December 31, 2011.

4/20/09. Elections ballots
will be sent to our chapter members for voting by the end of 4/30/09.
Elections results will be counted and announced at the end of
5/14/09.
